In Eva Carter's How to Save a Life, saving a life is only the start of the story . . . 'I couldn't put it down until I reached the final page' - Beth O'Leary, author of The Flatshare 'A sweeping, brave, epic love story. I was hooked from the very first page' - Josie Silver, author of One Day Eighteen-year-old Kerry has had a crush on Joel for years, but knows he's out of her league. Then something extraordinary happens: minutes before midnight on the eve of the millennium, Joel collapses and Kerry saves his life. As Kerry supports Joel through his recovery, they discover a connection neither of them anticipated - until, haunted by what might have been, he abruptly ends their relationship. Over the course of the next two decades, the two are bound by that moment of life and death; each time they believe they've found love, discovered their vocation, or simply moved on, their lives collide again. But Joel got a second chance at life; will Kerry get a second chance at love?
