Postcars Jane Austen at Penguin recenzia

‘I have now attained the true art of letter writing,’ wrote Jane Austen in one of her many missives to her sister Cassandra. This new box set will enable Austen fans to embrace the art of letter-writing for themselves, with 50 postcards celebrating book covers by Penguin across ten decades. Included in this set are Helen Binyon’s classic 1938 illustrated edition of Pride and Prejudice; a special wartime Northanger Abbey, published to keep troops supplied with comforting reading material; much-loved Clothbound Classics covers designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith; and a brand-new edition of Austen’s juvenilia from 2025. Publishing in Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary year, this box of postcards will make the perfect gift for both lovers of Austen and fans of classic book design.
